Meet Crystal
Crystal Grave is a seeker of truth, animal lover, entrepreneur, business builder, philanthropist, and all-round problem solver…in that order.
She helps new and existing founders and leaders solve big, icky messes. More than once, she may have been referred to as “a yoda friend” because grounded, thoughtful analysis, mixed with honesty, integrity, leadership and passion is the type of force nearly anyone can recommend having on your side.
The truth is, messes happen. (To everyone.) People get stuck. Brains want a Netflix binge sesh when problems feel overwhelming more than they want to tackle issues alone. That’s where Crystal’s rare combination of grit, determination, efficiency, leadership and strategic know-how kicks into gear. She gives leaders both the sounding board and hard skills they need to move the needle forward and dissect problems to achieve their goals. (She may also serve as a non-official therapist when the walls feel like they are closing in and founders need to phone a friend.)
An Indianapolis native and resident, she is best described as a “tireless professional who chases perfection.” Logging more than 20 years of experience in business, marketing, social media, sales and finance, she has both created and grown her own businesses, as well as helped many others launch new products, services, companies and campaigns. She couples this assortment of experiences with an MBA in Finance from Butler University, and a BS in Marketing from the University of Indianapolis to better serve a host of clients and partners.
She’s worked at a number of local organizations such as Snappening, Barnes & Thornburg, Music for All (Bands of America), The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, The Indianapolis Star and Live Nation (Sunshine Promotions). These organizations and their teams have described her as bright, articulate and willing to learn. In very little time, she proves herself capable of grasping the nature of any business and making significant contributions to an organization. She is also known for balancing teams by adding an entire range of new competencies and shaping ideas through a strategic business-building and marketing thought process—an innovative mentality that she strives to share with others.
In addition to her success as a business professional, she seeks involvement with various non-profit organizations in Indianapolis that focus on philanthropic giving for young professionals, women’s issues, diversity, and social development. When she’s not busy serving others personally or professionally, she’s likely traveling or being held captive by her cat who’s using her lap as a heating pad while you’re reading this.
